Rise of the VALIANT.
THE STORY OF AN AU'RA.
NEXT-GEN. FFXIV BASED. MULTIVERSE - CANON DIVERGENT.

No chit-chat, get to work.
The rise of Zorro "White Fox" So'vant; named after his cunning attitude and his bright white hair; eyes glowing in amber against the darkness with furrowed brows. His bark is to the point, short and sweet. Kindness leaves his lips, yet abruptly, and without warning. When on the battlefield, he barks orders - acting as a command on command. His confidence and ability to raise morale is above none else. But, he works well alone, as well. His reputation comes from protecting others - risking limb and life for his fellow man, despite a less-than-fortunate past. This world provides possibility. This world needs strength. Protection.
That's where he comes in.
His bite is just as confident as his bark, and hundreds more powerful.

THE PERSONALITY - VIRTUOSO (ISTP-T)
Optimistic and Energetic – Virtuosos are usually up to their elbows in some project or other. Cheerful and good-natured, people with the Virtuoso personality type (especially Assertive ones) rarely get stressed out, preferring to go with the flow.
Creative and Practical – Virtuosos are very imaginative when it comes to practical things, mechanics, and crafts. Novel ideas come easily, and they love using their hands to put them into action.
Spontaneous and Rational – Combining spontaneity with logic, Virtuosos can switch mindsets to fit new situations with little effort, making them flexible and versatile individuals.
Know How to Prioritize – This flexibility comes with some unpredictability, but Virtuoso personalities are able to store their spontaneity for a rainy day, releasing their energy just when it’s needed most.
Great in a Crisis – With all this hands-on creativity and spontaneity, it’s no wonder that Virtuosos are naturals in crisis situations. People with this personality type usually enjoy a little physical risk, and they aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty when the situation calls for it.
Relaxed – Through all this, Virtuosos are able to stay quite relaxed. They live in the moment and go with the flow, refusing to worry too much about the future.
-
Stubborn – As easily as Virtuosos go with the flow, they can also ignore it entirely, and usually move in another direction with little apology or sensitivity. If someone tries to change Virtuosos’ habits, lifestyle or ideas through criticism, they can become quite blunt in their irritation.
Insensitive – Virtuosos use logic, and even when they try to meet others halfway with empathy and emotional sensitivity, it rarely seems to quite come out right, if anything is even said at all.
Private and Reserved – Virtuoso personalities are notoriously difficult to get to know. They are true introverts, keeping their personal matters to themselves, and often just prefer silence to small talk.
Easily Bored – Virtuosos enjoy novelty, which makes them excellent tinkerers, but much less reliable when it comes to focusing on things long-term. Once something is understood, Virtuosos tend to simply move on to something new and more interesting.
Dislike Commitment – Long-term commitments are particularly onerous for Virtuosos. They prefer to take things day-by-day, and the feeling of being locked into something for a long time is downright oppressive. This can be a particular challenge in Virtuosos’ romantic relationships.
Risky Behavior – This stubbornness, difficulty with others’ emotions, focus on the moment, and easy boredom can lead to unnecessary and unhelpful boundary-pushing, just for fun. Virtuosos have been known to escalate conflict and danger just to see where it goes, something that can have disastrous consequences for everyone around if they lose control of the situation.

the CLAWS - The power.
GUNBLADE: A DEADLY WEAPON TO BE WIELDED BY THE STRONG, ITS ARTS PASSED DOWN TO THOSE WORTHY. IT IS A SWORD WITH A FIRING MECHANISM, FIRING AETHER EMBUED CARTRIDGE. ZORRO HAS THE PROWESS TO RELOAD THE CAPSULES WITH THE ROUNDS ON HIS BELT WITH RAPID SUCCESSION, ALLOWING FOR DEADLY ATTACKS.
THE GUNBLADE WAS BUILT TO PROTECT. WIELD IT AS SO, ZORRO - MIGHT OF THE FOX.
His combo is highly based off of FFXIV's GUNBREAKER. Well, because he descends from that.
Sturdy Will. The Soul of the Gunbreaker - enhanced by the power of wielders past.
Enhanced Strength: Cut them down, fox.Substantial Durability: You must keep standing. For them.Enhanced Dexterity: Give them something they won't expect, big guy.Enhanced Agility: Quick, fox! Strike like fire!Endurance: Pain is not forever. Endure.Quick Strategist: You know what to do.Morale Booster: Keep their spirits high. They need a leader, not a tyrant.Combat Prowess: Let our souls meld with yours.Regeneration Factor: Worry not your wounds. Worry for the next step.
UNBREAKING WILL: When fallen, so long as his will isn't broken, he will try and get back up. STRONGER. The power in his soul is the will to PROTECT, allowing him to break his own LIMITS. It allows small protection against Divine Entities - though not nearly as strong as that of the Warrior of Light.
POWER: He holds 6 Minor and 2 Major Cartridges. While the Minor can be reloaded when he pleases, the Major requires unique reloads, but allow more attacks before its aether fizzles out.
Passive: DON'T BLINK: His reloads are rapid. Keep an eye out. you might catch it.
GUARDIAN: His strength is unnerving, and his cockiness is annoying. Enemies will be more likely to target him.
SHRAPNEL: Zorro fires a round while jamming his blade forward; the fragmentation of the cartridge leaving the blade. Fragmentation is most deadly when the blade pierces; causing immense internal bleeding.
FOXEYE: Zorro's eyes turn to slits for a moment as they detect vulnerabilities in the enemies defenses. His confidence causes smooth attacks; increasing damage upon landing attacks.
IMPROV: Zorro slices at the ground with a Minor cartridge and brings it up - the slash propelling forward with lightning-like aether towards the target.
POUNCE: Zorro leaps and turns his body downward, flipping as he discharges his Gunblade; slamming the blade against the target location/enemy.
FOXFIRE: A healing cartridge is reloaded into the barrel, propelling towards the target.
HELPING HAND: A shot rings towards a friendly face; covering them in an aura; weakening the enemy's strikes.
FIRESTORM: Zorro shoots a shell at himself with the gunblade. His heath weakens, but an impenetrable barrier temporarily surrounds his being.
-
RUSE: Two strikes, slashes - each one reading minor cartridge for his attacks. Leads into Upper-Cut
UPPER-CUT: Two rapid upper-slices forming an 'X' enhanced by minor cartridges in the gunblade, propelling it for more strength. Minor cartridges are reloaded during downtime. His body recovers based on damage dealt; aether flowing into his skin; causing a small barrier equal to that gentle heal to form. Leads into Cluster.
CLUSTER: Five minor-enhanced strikes in rapid succession forming an almost star-shaped pattern. As he strikes upward, the blade propels him - giving him power as he slams downward with the final strike. He reloads a Major Cartridge.
-
DEVIL-SLASH: A circular slash with his blade.
DRAGON'S BANE: A minor-enhanced circular slash with his blade. His leap causes his body to spin rapidly, causing a flurry of strikes in under a second. He reloads a Major Cartridge.
-
THE MAJOR:
MORTAR: Zorro leaps and - with the power of a Major Cartridge - SLAMS against the ground; causing a powerful shockwave to pierce the grounds.
RING OF FIRE: Explosions enhanced by a Major Cartridge. He spins rapidly, causing a zone of pain.
THREE-TAILED: Three side-slashes, enhanced by a Major cartridge embued with fire. The explosions propel his sturdy arms at blinding speeds. Continues into Jugular Rip or Six-Tailed.
JUGULAR RIP: Two slashes, left and right; aiming for the throat using the Major Cartridge. Used quickly after Three-Tailed. Falls into Six-Tailed.
SIX-TAILED: A flip and a slam downward, propelled by the Major Cartridge. Continues into Abdomen Tear or Nine-Tailed.
ABDOMEN TEAR: A brutal Strike upward; aiming to slice open the abdomen. Used quickly after Six-tailed. Falls into Nine-Tailed.
NINE-TAILED: Five strikes; flurried; all enhanced by Major cartridges. Continues into Eye Gouge, if decided.
EYE-GOUGE: With the last of the Aether inside the Capsule, he stabs forward, propelling the explosive Cartridge to shrapnel towards the target's eye and face, attempting to blind.
I wanted to live the life, a different life. I didn’t want to go to the same place every day and see the same people and do the same job. I wanted interesting challenges.
the story.
Born and raised in the light-filled seas of The First. Here, as a child in the Crystarium - he witnessed the hero - the Warrior of Darkness arise. High, mighty, and powerful. A role model for many, a voice for the voiceless, the strength for the weak.
An inspiration for all.
Needless to say, he was a boy struck with that same will. That same feeling that many others were struck with. Hope. Hope that the night sky may yet ever reign upon their Eternal Light. So, homeless, poor, and with no ties - he left his orphanage back in the Crystarium like the idiot he was. To journey. To become strong, as the Warrior of Darkness was. He journeyed across Norvrandt. There, amongst reckless confidence, he faced his first fear. The power of the world around him. The strength of those that did not feel. The Sin-Eater.
Merely a touch would be needed to turn him to such a blind, divine beast. And yet, there was someone. A beast in his own right. A Ronso - a beast-like creature with the appearance of a Lion, wielding a blade against its shoulder, and the appearance of a gun. Here, when the Light faded from the creature's eyes, and he looked upon the pale fur of the Ronso, he realized a desire. To do what he did. To protect. Without thought, without rhyme or reason. To just.
So, like a lost dog - he followed the man. Watching from afar, keeping to the crumbs until the soft creature opened up to him. H'tala was his name. And, with the name, a gunblade was given to Zorro.
His first. Definitely not his last. It was old, blunt. Made for practice so that the dumb runt didn't cut himself trying to use it. The cartridges barely fit, and the chamber barely spun. But, if you were to ask him today to use it to slaughter something - he'd likely be glad to.
He grew. Tall, in fact. Nearly as tall as H'tala, the old beast. Years passed, they became loyal to each-other. Finding work as mercenaries, freelancers. Protectors.
That's what Gunbreakers do.
Then, one day the Crystarium rang. A disruption of Aether RANG from the Crystal Tower. Most were unaffected. Yet he - HE was. There, he would find himself melded as one among the magical explosion; flowing through the essence with his soul like water.
Until he found himself here.
Prime he decided to call it - with no connection to home, said many studious beings, for the last millennia. No connection to his mirrored world, Source. No connection to his home, First.
Here, he was an anomaly with only his will, and his blade. His story begins.
Worry not, child.
You will grow among the greats.
